The biggest thing holding most Personal Trainers back from growing their business is their fear of spending money on marketing…
I’m going to use Bootcamps / Group Training as an example…
Most Bootcamp Trainers charge give or take $40 a week for 10 week term… which is a $400 sale…
And most participants stay for at least 3 terms… so it’s actually closer to a $1200 sale…
And when I ask these trainers how much they will spend to acquire a new client… the conversation usually goes something like this
Trainer: “probably around $20-$30”
Jono: “great… however with Facebook you’re probably going to have to spend closer to $100 to acquire a client… would that work with you?”
Trainer: “I don’t know… $100 is a lot of money to spend to get just one client”
Jono: “yeah, I mean depends how you look at it… coz from my end you’re basically saying you don’t want to spend $100 to make $1,200… is that right?”
Trainer: “good point… how much do you charge to set up these Ads people are talking about?”
And it’s actually a higher return… because that client may stay for longer than 9 months… AND they may bring friends…
And even if they cancelled after one term… that’s still a good ROI… spend $100 to make $400… I’d do that every day I could.
And… you’re also collecting leads the whole time your Ad is running – who you can market to for free on your next term!
Bottom line… don’t be scared to spend money on marketing… providing you have a predictable system that makes more than that back!
And if you’d like me to set up your Facebook Ads so you have a predictable system…
